The Domaine Saint-Cels in Saint-Chinian is first and foremost a family history that starts with the creation of the estate in 1970. Two generations have followed one another until then. It was from 1993 that Étienne Rouanet, after viti-oeno technical studies, concentrated on the production and renewal of plantations. Today, the estate has nearly 80 hectares on the vineyard of Saint-Chinian. A great diversity of soils typical of this appellation of Languedoc is represented: shales, clays and limestones, pebbles rolled ...
The end of 2017 marks a new milestone in the history of Domaine Saint-Cels. As a new renaissance or a new beginning, a future-oriented direction is taken for the conduct of plots. A real return to earth, both literally and figuratively. The objective in Saint-Cels: to give life back to the soil and all its place to the biodiversity of these privileged soils. "At home, the word" terroir "carries with it its own strength and identity," says Marie, Etienne's wife.
She also inspires this new breath on the field. With twenty years of commercial experience in the industry and globe trotting, she wants to put his skills at the service of the family farm. This is how she takes the marketing of the estate's wines to her account.
The following generations are hard at work on the estate. Matthieu and Thomas accompany their parents in this beautiful adventure and thus perpetuate this family tradition.
Saint-Cels evolves and reinvents itself with a new visual identity, two new ranges of AOP Saint-Chinian cuvées: Les Intemporelles and Les Confidentielles.
New ranges that are resolutely modern, user-friendly and easy to share. Between gluttony, elegance and excellence it is with pleasure that we present you, before you taste them, these Timeless Domaine Saint-Cels.
