The Great Wines of Languedoc - The Wines of Occitanie
Domaine Saint-Cels is, since the 2017 harvest, en route to a conversion to organic farming.
The vintage Mille Étoiles Rouge, in its brand new 2016 vintage, takes its place in the layer of high-end developed by Etienne Rouanet, winemaker Domaine Saint-Cels. The name of the vintage, Mille Étoiles, is a nod to the various small plots selected and carefully selected for the production of this red wine.
One thousand red stars is adorned with a deep robe, tinged with a sparkling garnet. A pure and very aromatic nose offers aromas of red fruits, black fruits on which violet notes come to twirl. After aeration, more powerful aromas of cocoa and black truffle emerge.
The mouth of this red wine is typical, powerful. A thousand stars present in the heart of mouth a great roundness, tannins present, coated and melting. In the finish, a beautiful aromatic persistence brings notes of fruits already apprehended on the nose.
A red and fleshy Saint-Chinian red wine that will seduce for its sweet, fleshy and silky side.
This is a vintage that you can converse in cellar between 5 and 10 years to enjoy a beautiful aromatic complexity and a full and generous body.
